We will stay in a cosy multi-bed room reserved for our group. Mountain huts offer very basic facilities, with simple shared toilets and no showers, as water and electricity are limited at high altitude. However, this simplicity is part of what makes the experience so unique, communal, and deeply rewarding.

A sleeping linen bag, blankets and pillows will be provided.

Food: Huts serve hearty, carb-heavy meals.

  • Temperatures vary drastically by elevation. In the lowland valleys, daytime highs average between 22 and 29 degrees. At higher alpine elevations daytime temperatures are between 10 and 15 degrees and nights are between 0 and 5 degrees. Bring extra layers.

We expect all travellers to purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover illness, injury, cancellations, or travel disruption.

In the unlikely event that the trip is cancelled by the organiser, all payments made will be fully refunded.

  • As health and safety is a priority for us and everyone who travels with us, you must purchase a comprehensive high-altitude trekking insurance that covers overseas medical treatment, evacuation/repatriation, your baggage and equipment, and the specific activities involved in your adventure.

We won’t be able confirm your spot, until you have sent us a copy of your insurance policy.

  • Moderate

This trip is designed for active adults with a good baseline level of fitness and a love for nature and adventure. You don’t need to be an experienced mountaineer or cyclist, but you should feel comfortable with heights, long hikes with elevation, and multiple active days outdoors.

The summit ascent of Mount Triglav includes physically demanding via ferrata sections requiring stamina, focus, and confidence with heights.

The cycling routes are scenic and accessible, with e-bikes used to support a more enjoyable and immersive experience rather than a high-performance cycling challenge.

Day 1: Arrive

Arrive in Slovenia and transfer to our base hotel in Kranjska Gora — a premier mountain resort town in Slovenia’s Julian Alps, famous for its alpine skiing and the stunning Lake Jasna.

Kranjska Gora will be our base throughout the trip, except on Day 4, our summit day, when we will spend the night in a cosy mountain hut.

Once everyone from the group has arrived and checked in, we will gather for a welcome dinner at a traditional Slovenian restaurant, where you will be briefed on the week ahead.

Day 2: Immerse

After breakfast, we will set out on an alpine cycling experience through the beautiful Radovna Valley, located on the edge of Triglav National Park. Riding on e-bikes, we will cycle through charming alpine villages, lush green pastures dotted with grazing cows, and rolling meadows nestled between dramatic glacial mountain peaks. Along the way, we will stop for lunch at a traditional Slovenian gostilna — a local-style restaurant known for regional cuisine and warm hospitality.

The route is moderately demanding, with some hilly sections and a steady climb on the return journey.

Highlights of the day include the Upper Sava Valley (Zgornjesavska dolina), the Sava River, Kreda Lake, the alpine town of Mojstrana, the historic Psnakova žaga in mlin (sawmill and mill), and the Peričnik Waterfall.

Day 3: Hike and recover

Today, we will take things a little slower with a gentler hike and a refreshing cold swim (if you dare) or a toe dip in the beautiful Lake Jasna. This day is designed to keep our legs warm while exploring picturesque Triglav National Park on foot and allowing time to rest and recharge before the bigger challenge ahead in Triglav National Park.

After a scenic hiking loop around Kranjska Gora and a stop for lunch, we will return for a relaxed evening by Lake Jasna, with optional activities available if you feel like doing something more active.

Duration: Approx. 5-6 hrs of hiking with regular stops, a lunch stop and a visit to Lake Jasna.

Day 4: Ascend

We will embark on a 2-day trekking adventure to Mt. Triglav in Triglav National Park. We will wake up early, meet our guides and get a transfer to our starting point. On day 1, we will ascend approximately 1,600 metres, trekking through picturesque valleys, rocky cirques, and dramatic glacial landscapes before reaching Kredarica Hut — our home for the night.

At the hut, we will enjoy a warm hearty dinner, watch the sun set before our eyes, and spend the evening under a sky filled with stars. This is a raw and authentic mountain experience — far from noise and the comforts of everyday life. High above the clouds, everything begins to feel simpler and quieter. And that’s where the real luxury lies.

Duration: 4 - 6.5 hours of hiking to Kredarica hut

If severe weather prevents the hike to Mount Triglav, we will offer an alternative hiking route so you can still enjoy a safe and memorable mountain experience.

Day 5: Summit

After a very early breakfast, we will set off for the final ascent of Mount Triglav. The last 400 metres to the summit are steep, exposed, with some vertical sections, following a protected via ferrata route with iron pegs, steel cables, and ladders.

From the 2,864-metre summit, a breath-taking 360-degree panorama awaits — stretching across the pristine Triglav Lakes Valley, the distant Karavanke Mountains, and the dramatic drop of the north face. If we are lucky enough, we might spot an alpine ibex seeking out salt on limestone cliffs.

This section is optional; if you feel it is too much, you are welcome to stay back, sleep in and enjoy a slower morning instead.

We will make our way down to the hut, collect our belongings, and start descending to our starting point, where we will be transferred to our hotel in Kranjska Gora.

Duration: Approx. 2hr to summit and back + 4-5hr of descending to initial starting point

Day 6: Departure

Enjoy a well-deserved slow morning after all the effort in the last 4 days, you can have a quick spa session, buy souvenirs, and say your goodbyes before heading back home.
